LMFI Peruvian Dragonheart

Huacaya, Herdsire (Male), Proven, Medium Rose Grey, Full Peruvian
ARI# 32166712 | DOB: 7/7/2010
Dragonheart is a truly amazing modern grey male. When a modern grey at almost 4 yrs old beats all other greys to take a Color Championship you need to take notice......this guy has histogram numbers that barely moved from 2013 to 2014....lingering fineness on a grey is a superior quality that makes this male very special indeed.

"As fine as the juveniles at almost four years old... Raises the bar for excellence!" -Sharon Loner

Dragonfly was one of our 2020 planned show string females. Unfortunately with all the show cancellations she has not had the chance to be tested in the show ring to see how well she stacks up with others in her class. She has nice bone on a well balanced frame, and a fantastic head! I would say her fleece has good density and plenty of crimp. I would like to see a bit more organization / bundling in her fleece which can be improved by selecting the right herd sire to breed her to when she is ready. She has multiple generations of Magical Farms genetics on both the top and bottom of her pedigree. Her sire LMFI Dragonheart, is a multi blue ribbon / Color Champion, and her Dam MFI & TNT Catchinup, won a 4th place ribbon in a very competitive class the only time she was shown.

Dragonfly has a solid dark brown blanket, and black points on her nose and ears, along with one very tiny little grey spot outside her blanket. She is cute, cute, cute! With the gray in her pedigree I would not be a bit surprised if she throws brown or gray just like her mom.

She is also very friendly and walks well on the lead/halter. She would make a wonderful addition to a dark breeding program at a very reasonable price. You can show her this fall or next year and then breed her to one of our excellent herd sires for a 2022 cria.
