Black Dog Alpacas

I purchased my first two alpacas about fifteen years ago. Two geldings. Fell in love with them and here and there would get a few more guys. Wanting to experience the cuteness and joy of crias I purchased two breed females in the summer of 2016. Middle of May 2017 one male cria was born at my place. Named him Gideon.
Fall of 2017 I was finally able to take the steps and purchase my own "Herd Sire" and two more breeding females.With a lot of help from Sage Bluff Alpacas in Prosser WA, I purchased Top Dollar as my herd sire and Avalon and Cynthia as breeding females. I had Avalon bred to their top herd sire, Silver Blade. Am expecting a fantastic cria from these two.
I plan on staying a small alpaca breeder, but want to produce exceptional alpacas with great confirmation and fiber. Hoping to help other small breeders as myself I will take in outside females to breed to Top Dollar.
I am not planning on doing any showing with my alpacas. This does not mean they are not top quality. They all come from excellent award winning lineage.
Black Dog Alpacas is located on the Columbia river in the rural town of Burbank WA. Where the Snake and Columbia rivers meet. I like to tell people that Lewis and Clark camped where my house is.
