PNAA Summer Education Conference

Friday through Sunday, June 21-23, 2019 Wenatchee WA

Join us for this exciting weekend of exceptional education, fun, and fellowship in central Washington!

Designed for both new and seasoned alpaca enthusiasts, our summer education conference features exceptional presenters and exciting topics.

Keynote speaker Sheila Cooney Scroggins is a Nurse Practitioner with a Masters degree in Nursing Education, teaching in higher education for the  past 32 years.  Sheila is currently a Professor of Nursing for the University of California at Davis.  Sheila and her husband, Dave, reside  in Northern California and have been in the alpaca business for 12 years.  Find them at Colusa Riverside Alpacas.

As an educator and author, Sheila has a passion for the  genetics of breeding alpacas through Expected Progeny Differences. If you've wondered about EPDs and how they can impact your breeding decisions and goals, don't miss this exciting opportunity to hear from one of our best.

Complimenting Sheila's EPD presentations, AOA Judge Mary Miller will open our Saturday sessions with a hands-on demonstration of alpaca evaluation.  On Sunday breeder Nikki Griffith will share her expertise on sorting and grading. Each attendee is encouraged to bring a fleece for this demonstration.

To help offset conference costs, please consider contributing something for our Silent Auction.  You may simply bring your item(s) with you to the Meet and Greet.

Sponsors are an important part of our conference, with four levels of participation.  If you know of a business or individual who may wish to sponsor our event, please have them contact host Sue Steensma for all the details.
