PNAA Summer Education Conference

Friday, June 8 - Sunday, June 10, 2018
Zillah, WA

Join us for this exciting weekend of exceptional education, fun, and fellowship in the heart of Yakima Valley Wine Country!

Designed for both new and seasoned alpaca enthusiasts, our summer education conference features TWO exceptional presenters this year!

Keynote speaker Stacie Chavez, and her husband, Skip, free-range a large herd at Sky Ridge Alpacas in eastern Oregon. Stacie was instrumental in launching the Alpaca Coalition of America. Along with Lynn Edens, she recently purchased Imperial Stock Ranch Fiber, with a renewed focus on American sourced fibers for American made textiles. Stacie will share her own journey, and present on marketing, fiber production, and terminal markets.

Back by popular demand, foremost camelid reproduction specialist Dr. Ahmed Tibary, WSU School of Veterinary Medicine, will be speaking on cria development and best breeding practices.  We are delighted to welcome these exceptional professionals to our conference.

This year our Member Forum invited Linda Mackey and Eddie van Hout to share from their specialties.  Linda will share her experiences in the natural approach to parasite control, which will include fecal and microscope instruction.  Eddie will offer a hands-on fleece skirting seminar Friday evening during the Meet & Greet.  He'll have fleeces available, and you are welcome to bring your own.
