Welcome to Sandollar Farms!
Welcome to Sandollar Farms; we are a working alpaca farm located in the heart of southeast Washington Wine Country in the Tri-Cities about midway between the stunning Columbia River and the Horse Heaven Hills!
We breed the extremely rare and beautiful heritage breed "suri" alpaca both for preservation and for their exquisite fiber! Suri alpacas only represent 5% of all alpacas globally! Two new baby alpacas have arrived this summer and are pronking through the pastures!
AND we breed the majestic Great Pyrenees dogs, as a livestock guardian or family companion! Not to mention the chickens, bees, the lily pond with koi and others, Birmingham Rollers etc.
You can book a one-of-a-kind Guided Educational Farm Tour on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 9:30am for a fun, once in a lifetime, memory making experience! And we also do private tours for groups as well as birthday parties, small weddings, family reunions, photo shoots; etc! Call Nikki at 509.378.6909 to find out if what you are planning could fit into our farm schedule!
Come browse the newly refurbished Gift Shop the Fuzzy Wuzzy; lots of new products have arrived for the upcoming fall and holiday season! Beginning October 1st, the farm will be open to visitors for shopping and self-guided tours Wednesday thru Friday from 1-4pm and Saturdays from 11 to 4pm! Please check-in at the store when you come for directions and to comply with our insurance regulations!
The United Nations General Assembly declared 2024 as the International Year of Camelids (IYC 2024) in response to a recommendation from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The IYC 2024 aims to highlight the importance of camelids in the lives of people around the world. Camelids include alpacas, vicunas, llamas and guanacos!
We celebrated National Alpaca Farm Days on Saturday, September 28th, our annual free fun family event for the community. We think we had about 450 visitors this year! Stay tuned for more events! This always kicks off our fall season!
So wouldn't you and your family love to come visit? The alpacas and great pyrenees guardians are waiting to meet you!
