— The PNAA Team
In 2013 we were introduced to the Mystical Creatures called Alpacas and I fell in love with them. We purchased our first cria that same year in October. The plan was for us to only have 1 since we do not have a place of our own to raise alpacas, we board them. The idea of having 1 alpaca didn't last long and 6 months later we acquired another 2 girls, one was pregnant. A few months later we experienced the birth of our first cria. A lot has changed for us over the years and now our main focus is raising alpacas with uniformity. Because we keep our herd small, it does take us longer than most to achieve our goals but we are reaching them. Dreams do come true! Our goals and persistence have just been validated with our Herdsire Daylight Taboo, he was just given the "Spirt of the Fiber Industry" award at the 2022 Calpaca Autumn Fleece Extracaganza. This award is only given to fleece in the 3 years and older categories. It honors traits recognized as very valuable in long term breeding strategies. We are so extremely proud of our boy.Daylight Taboo now lives in Virginia where he can do what he does best and that is make beautiful crias. We are very happy to have 2 of his offspring. Our goals and persistence have just been validated a second time with our girl Quech It Jingle Bell Rock, she also received the "Huacaya Female Spirit of the Fiber Industry" award at the 2024 PAOBA Fleece Showcase. We are so extremely proud of our girl. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. We board our Alpacas at Ranch of the Oaks, located in Prescott Valley Arizona. They are a Fiber Mill, check out their website and ask for availability of tours.ranchoftheoaks.com
